What do July 1965, and a Hovercraft have in common? Let me explain:
Firstly, this date will be forever etched in transport history as it marks not only, the beginning of a pioneering commercial service on "The Solent", United Kingdom, linking Southsea on the mainland, with Ryde, on The Isle of Wight, but, also celebrates the start of one of the world's longest continually running services.
Meet Poppy, a brave, extremely loveable, and very bright young Lady, who is always just as up for new adventures as her Human Pawrents. Having never flown like a Symphony above the water before in a Hovercraft, we humans expected Poppy to feel apprehensive, nervous, edgy especially as this was a major change to her daily routine, however, were pleasantly surprised as once she sprawled herself over us, eventually settling on her Human Father's Lap, she settled, and smiled.
Her inspiring attitude showed me a profound truth, when you embrace change with awareness, change a little each day, figure out exactly what needs to be adapted and stand confident alongside a team you trust completely, you can navigate any unfamiliar territory successfully.
The secret is simple: try not to let the weight of past apprehensions distort the beauty of your current experiences.
Arriving safely into "Ryde Hover Terminal", my Cousin and I knew Poppy loved her eight minute flight, proving change is good, call it new experiences if you like, can, and will push you forward.
My take aways:
Be brave, small changes over time add up and always be open to new experiences.
